How to Apply Your Hertz Discount Code

Step-by-Step: Applying Codes at Checkout

Applying your Hertz discount code correctly is straightforward.

1. Find a valid promo code, such as the promo code (up to 20% off rentals of 2 or more days) or the promo code (15% off for weekly rentals), available on Hertz’s official site or Coupons Scout.

2. Select your rental car, pick your dates and options, then proceed to add it to your cart or begin the booking sequence.

3. At checkout, locate the promo code box—often labeled “Coupon Code” or “Promo Code.”

4. Enter your code exactly as given (e.g., the promo code), and hit “Apply.” The discount should immediately reflect in your total price.

5. Verify your discount validity before finalizing payment, checking for any expiration dates or restrictions based on rental length or car category.

Following this flow helps avoid common pitfalls like entering expired codes or booking incompatible rentals (Hertz Official Promo Page).

Using Hertz Gold Plus Rewards Points for Discounts

Beyond promo codes, Hertz’s Gold Plus Rewards loyalty program lets you amplify savings:

• Earn 1 point per $1 spent on rentals, plus a 200-point signup bonus just for joining.

• Redeem points at checkout where 200 points equal $2 off your rental cost.

• Combine points redemption with promo codes when allowed to maximize total discounts.

Signing up is free and easy, making your rentals more rewarding each time (Hertz Rewards Program).

What To Do If Your Code Doesn't Work?

Check Code Terms and Conditions

• Make sure your rental meets the minimum length—codes like the promo code require rentals of at least 2 days.

• Confirm the code applies to your car category or rental type. Some discounts are for weekly or longer rentals only.
• Double-check your promo code entry for typos or extra spaces.

Try Alternative Codes or Seasonal Offers

• If one discount code doesn’t apply, try others listed here that might suit your rental duration or location.
• Check for upcoming seasonal sales like Black Friday or Cyber Monday for fresh discounts.
• Use bundle deals, such as discounted GPS or free additional drivers, which sometimes do not require codes.
